Nicole Kurokawa writing at the Independent Women’s Forum may prove prescient. She says Massachusetts health care reform is very similar to what we will soon face on a national scale. She examines recent events in Massachusetts where the major insurers facing price controls and having suffered $100 million dollar losses are refusing to issue new policies. I agree, Robert, that the Massachusetts situation may be coming attractions for the national scene. While they did increase access, the soon found that they were running out of money as costs continued to escalate. In addition, there wasn’t nearly enough primary care physicians to care for the newly insured. And now, price controls from the governor!
